Day 1 and 2 of our Journey

In every adventure movie the characters must go through a series of trials in order to reach the happy ending.  On our way to our new home, we too met some challenges.  However, we have some praise reports:

1.  We are thankful that we were hauling the truck behind the U-haul so that I could drive it when the alternator of the van stopped working.

2.  We are thankful that Julia was asleep during the rain and hail storm so she did not witness her mother panicking and panic herself causing even more stress for her mom (me).

3.  We are thankful that it was only sprinkling rain when Paul had to lie down on the wet ground and crawl under the truck to fix the muffler that came undone.

4.  We are thankful for the gentleman that helped Paul turn the U-haul and trailer around when he inadvertently pulled into a parking lot he couldn’t get out of.

5.  I am thankful for a caring husband that took great care of me when I was no longer able to function because of the WORST migraine EVER.

Day two of our journey was much different.  The weather was beautiful and we had a stress free day 🙂  We are now in St. Joseph, Missouri.   We will drive across Kansas tomorrow and into Nebraska.  I would love to be sleeping in our new home tomorrow night.

I love the title “folk tales”….so clever. Praying for His continued strength and wisdom for you and the family as you make this incredible journey of faith. Thanks for sharing!
